Please be advised that the Solo Pattern dance will proceed as follows:
Regardless of whether the skater has selected to do the lead or follow steps in their solo dance, they will be using the same warmup ice for the level of event. The skate order will be ordered to group the lead step skaters and the follow step skaters accordingly so that they are marked accordingly. The officials will be made aware of what skaters are performing lead and what skaters are performing follow steps.
With respect to the sequences - Winter Classic will be following the Skate Canada 2022-2023 Program Requirements that are linked to the Winter Classic Announcement and are as follows:
STAR 2/3 - 2 sequences for drawn dance
STAR 4/5 - 3 sequences for the baby blues / 2 sequences for the Swing
STAR 6/7 - 4 sequences for the Fiesta Tango / 3 sequences for the Foxtrot
STAR 8/9 - 4 sequences for Rocker / 4 sequences for Killian
This information will also be provided to Officials prior to the event.
Competitors will be required to have music on a USB rink side during the competition, in the event there is a problem with the uploaded music. One (1) USB per program clearly labelled.
Please note PLANNED PROGRAM are NOT required for STAR 2, 3 & 4 Free Skate events.
Entry Deadline
Closing date of entries is 9:00 PM (SK) on Thursday, January 12th, 2023.
Only online registrations will be accepted.
Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Technical Representative and if space permits. Entries received after the deadline date will be double the entry fee. Late entries maybe accepted up till 5 days after the registration deadline. No entries will be accepted after January 19th, 2023 at 12:00 PM (noon) CST, no exceptions.
IMPORTANT: Planned Program & music must be submitted online at the time of registration. Online updates can be made up to 9:00 PM (SK) February 21st, 2023. Music will not be accepted on-site.
Competitors will be required to have back-up CDs rink side during the competition, in the event there is a problem with the uploaded music.
