  • Skate Canada International Coach Apprenticeship Program
    • Skate Saskatchewan in partnership with Skate Canada will be offering a Coach Apprenticeship Program in conjunction with Skate Canada International, October 31-November 2, 2025. The 2-day CAP is a targeted professional development initiative aimed at supporting the development of career-minded coaches in alignment with SC/NCCP coaching standards and LTD principles. It will include classroom sessions, practice observation, and performance analysis discussions with world-class renowned facilitators and guest speakers.
    • 20 spots available (15 allocated for Saskatchewan Coaches) 

    • Target Audience: Coaches that had skaters at the 2025 Skate Saskatchewan Sectionals in Pre-Novice or higher. 

    • Skate Saskatchewan Coach Development Committee will provide shared accommodations for selected Saskatchewan coaches. 

    • $100 Hold your Spot - 50% will be refunded to selected Saskatchewan coaches following the program.

  • Technical Coach Seminar
    • Skate Alberta/NWT/Nunavut will be hosting a Technical Seminar along with Skate Canada during Challenge.  There are spaces available for out of Section coaches.  Please pass the information along to any coaches you may have who would be interested in attending.  Detailed information can be found in the link bellow:

Coach Assessor (Skills or Artistic)

Prerequisites

  • Registered and in Good Standing Coach
  • NCCP Regional Coach Certified or higher NCCP status
  • STAR 1 – 5 Coach Assessor Training (certificate)

Requirements for Application (Promotion) - to be submitted to the Officials Coordinating Chairperson.

  • Successful completion of the online training: STAR 6 – Gold Training:
    Introduction (certificate)
  • Successful completion of the online training exam: STAR 6 – Gold
    Training: Skills / Artistic (certificate)
  • Mentored assessment in Skills / Artistic
    • The mentored assessment must be done in the discipline in which the individual is seeking the promotion.
    • Mentors:  Allyson Senecal, Brett Hines, Judy Harris, Enid Davidson and Kathy Piller.
