Understanding the Components and GOEs (#3)

The Officials Coordinating Committee and Coaches Core Committee of Skate Canada - Saskatchewan are pleased to present “Understanding the Components and GOEs”, a series of three Zoom sessions with Karen Howard, International and Olympic judge. 

Karen has years of experience in the International world of competitive figure skating, which includes judging at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. Karen’s list of activities for the 2019 - 2020 season include ISU Challenger Series, Finlandia Trophy; Skate Canada International in Kelowna; Skate Canada Challenge in Edmonton; 2020 Canadian Championships in Mississauga, Reykjavik International Games in Iceland and ISU World Junior Championships in Tallinn, Estonia in March of 2020.

Karen is a member of the national Officials, Appointment and Promotion committee of Skate Canada and has recently been part of the Skate Canada Long Term Athlete Development model working group for Pairs. We are very lucky to call Karen one of our own here in Saskatchewan!

This is a joint collaboration between our committees to assist all of our coaches and judges in Saskatchewan in staying current and informed. All officials and coaches in Saskatchewan are invited to register and attend these valuable sessions. 

Once registered, you will be notified prior to the meeting date and will need to download some materials relevant to each session.

- Wednesday, October 7th - Understanding GOE's

- Wednesday, October 28th - Performance PC 

 All sessions will begin at 8:00 p.m. SK time and will be approx 1 hour in length. 

Online registration closes at 9:00 PM (SK) on Monday, October 5th, 2020.
