The Officials Coordinating Committee will be holding a clinic on Sunday, March 28th, 2021 in Regina at the Mosaic Stadium Boardroom.. All levels and disciplines of evaluating are planned, from STAR 6 - Gold.
The testing format for our skaters has change to align with the STAR event stream. Firstly, rather than Introductory, Pre-Preliminary, Preliminary and Jr. Bronze, levels will now be called STAR 1 - 5. Furthermore, coaches will now be evaluating their own skaters for all tests up to and including the former Jr. Bronze level, (STAR 1-5).
The system that we have now for evaluated tests where the club brings in an evaluator from our officials pool will also change to reflect this implementation. The regular testing format for skaters will begin at the STAR 6 and higher. Therefore, ANY evaluators that have Jr. Bronze or lower qualifications will no longer be evaluating any tests.
If you are at least 16 years of age and have a skating background with a minimum of two (2) complete Junior Bronze tests (STAR 5) passed or any one (1) complete Senior Bronze test (STAR 6) passed, you are eligible to become an evaluator with Skate Canada.
