41st Saskatchewan Sport Awards Recipients and Finalists Announced
SASKATOON (Jan. 9, 2026) – The coaches and volunteers who act as the driving force behind Saskatchewan’s success in amateur sport will be honoured alongside the exceptional athletes who represent the province at all levels, at the 41st Saskatchewan Sport Awards.
The Saskatchewan Sport Awards will celebrate the 27 finalists and recipients of the event’s nine different categories on Jan. 29, in Regina.
The annual program celebrates the success and dedication of those in the province’s amateur sport community through two categories – Excellence Awards and Recognition Awards. The six Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding event performances or a series of performances by a Saskatchewan athlete, coach or team within a given calendar year, while the three Recognition Awards honour individuals who have devoted their time and effort to the growth of sport in Saskatchewan.
“From donning the maple leaf on the international stage to representing local communities at the provincial level, the perseverance of Saskatchewan and its sporting community is something to celebrate,” said Amy Prokop, Sask Sport Board of Directors Chair. “The finalists and recipients are just a few of the countless individuals who dedicate their time to representing our province. We are honoured to have outstanding athletes, decorated coaches and long-serving volunteers make up our sport system.”
The 41st Saskatchewan Sport Awards will be celebrated with a gala on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Queensbury Convention Centre in Regina. The gala will honour the nine Recognition Awards recipients, as well as announce the recipients of the six Excellence Awards and celebrate those named as finalists.

The Saskatchewan Sport Awards will also be available for viewing live on Sask Sport’s YouTube and on SaskTel maxTV Local on Demand at a later date.
Nominations were made for 53 athletes, coaches and teams for the 41st Saskatchewan Sport Awards in the Excellence categories. A full nomination list can be found here.
